Oh Sad Little Salad.

Oh no. Oh yes. What you see is real. I woke up Saturday morning in a fury with the first thought of the day being "I FORGOT TO EAT A SALAD YESTERDAY!" I was very distressed. I was telling myself things like it's ok, it's ok, you've eaten two salads in one day many times this year, and there was a tomato and a cucumber on your sandwich yesterday and basil on your pizza. But alas, that does not count. Sad sad indeed.

Then Dashing Boy, offering his words of comfort said, "You know, it's not like you're breaking your resolution. If you stopped eating salad just because you missed one day- that would be breaking your resolution."

And I thought, yeah, very true and inspiring. If I were to make a resolution to start exercising I really shouldn't beat myself up if I miss a bit. That's not the point, the point is to be working on a goal that I feel is meaningful and enriching to my life. And everyone knows you can't be enriched by being negative to yourself.

You can, however- be enriched by making faces out of vegetables.
