24- A Nice, Sexy, Round Number

Yesterday was my 24th birthday and I must say I'm feeling really good about it. I don't know, there is just something about 24 thats sounds nice-- that feels nice. As my good friend Vanessa said- "24 is a nice, sexy round number." I couldn't agree more.

In a way, it's empowering to leave my early twenties behind me and head into the mid. I'm more sure of myself now- I've come into my own a lot over the past couple of years. I'm feeling less like a girl and more like a woman.



This past weekend began with this surprise:

Dashing Boy asked me if I would go with him to this cute clothing store on Main Street to try on a shirt he picked out for my birthday. So we walked inside, he asked for my shirt and the salesgirl led us to the dressing room, opened the door and standing inside was my mom and my brother Josh! I was SO surprised, I hadn't seen it coming at all!

We had a great time together, eating, laughing, taking pictures, enjoying cake, talking... It was wonderful. I love my family so much and try to soak up as much as I can whenever I'm with them. This really was the best birthday yet of my adult life and I feel so blessed to love and be loved by them. Thank you Mom, Josh, and Dashing Boy for the best surprise!
